ARTISTIC DIRECTOR
Hanem began her dance studies in 2002 under Arabian Flair's director, Reneé. In the same year, she trained in ATS with Jennifer Secrist, Director of Tribe Nawaar. Hanem continued her education with numerous workshops across the spectrum of bellydance. The aim of her studies is to create an amalgam of her influences, the vintage appeal of Egyptian Raqs Shaqui, the saunter and strut of the Turks, and the dark drama of contemporary bellydance. Her performance is both classic and cutting edge with a complete attention to detail that encompasses everything within the dance space. Music, costume, and movement are all carefully composed for a complete presentation.

Among her dance specialties are cane and sword dance with a highly theatrical bent. Outside of the dance, Hanem has worked as a visual artist for ten years. Her experience includes graphic arts, illustration, henna, and costume design. She applies these artistic talents to her work as Arabian Flair's Artistic Director, providing aesthetic direction on all levels.
